A bad ring to it
One goal of mine with this website is to be vocal and flag up issues that we need to change in order to make our human behaviour more sustainable as we go through our daily routines, therefore protect the planet for future generation. This is not about blame as we’re all guilty. It’s about encouraging us all to be more mindful of our actions and to change them.
Today I’ve emailed Proctor & Gamble owners of Oral B electric tooth brushes with a simple idea that will help reduce using unnecessary use of plastic and potentially save money by removing the coloured ring that comes with all new toothbrush heads. I think their customers are clever enough to know which toothbrush is theirs even is a shared bathroom!
These rings, along with the brush heads (that also need to be redesigned to be sustainable) inevitably ends up in land fill. Did you know more or less all the plastic that you have ever touched in your life still exists! Makes you think! But at least improving on the coloured rings is a step in the right direction and could give new meaning to P&G - Prospecting for better ideas and not gambling with our environment.
See my brainstorm I sent below. I’ll keep you updated. If you have any issues you think we need to change share them below.
